Kuch Karo is an NGO based in Karachi, Pakistan which is in the process of being registered. Our aim is solve problems in the community by empowering local citizens to become creative, active and responsible members of their communities who can identify a problem, the process of its solution and then become part of that process. Kuch Karo’s pilot project, Community Action Workshop, will be conducted June through August 2012 and will engage sixteen high school students from an underserved area.
This Workshop is the brainchild of Maliha Ali, a Pakistani undergraduate student at Bennington College, USA. Her Workshop proposal has already garnered international attention as it was one of a hundred proposals that won a $10,000 grant from the Davis Projects for Peace.
